Susan Wilson
New Zealander Susan Wilson, known for her rich representational
style brushstroke portraiture and still life works divides her time
between New Zealand and London.
Currently lectures at The Princes' Drawing School, The National
Portrait Gallery London and University of East Anglia (twinned with
Otago University, this Wilson initiated).
Trained at the Camberwell School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools. Fellow of `Painting University of Gloucester.
Works include illustration and book cover design for Katherine Mansfield Short Stories for The Folio Society London 2000. These works toured NZ in 2003.
Her works are in public and private collections throughout New Zealand and in Europe including The Todd Foundation, Tauranga Art Gallery, The Aigantighe Timaru, Auckland War Memorial Museum Tamaki Paenga, Air New Zealand, HRH The Prince of Wales. The National Trust, New Hall (Murray Edwards College) Cambridge, Fundacion Focus-Abengoa Seville Spain.
